A California man has now filed a lawsuit against DePuy Orthopaedics after he had a DePuy hip replacement surgery that failed two years later.

According to the lawsuit, the man received a total hip replacement surgery in 2008 when he was fitted for an ASR Acetabular hip replacement system. Two years later, he began to experience pain and loss of mobility and shortly after, his doctor told him that the replacement used in his surgery was involved in  recall.

He was then forced to undergo a revision surgery. The man then filed a lawsuit against the makers of the hip system, DePuy, after claiming that they knew or should have known about the possible defects.
