DePuy lawsuit status conference to take place in Nov.

Posted on October 27th, 2011 No Comments

Yesterday, a judge presiding over a lawsuit filed against DePuy Orthopaedics and their defective ASR implants scheduled a conference to coordinate the case with a group of appointed attorneys.  The conference is scheduled to occur on November 22 in Ohio.

Since the DePuy ASR hip implant was recalled and many people began filing suits against the hip implant manufacturer, several judges have issued orders for conferences in which they are able to coordinate the litigation between federal and state authorities.

The last conference before the one scheduled for November was held in July in San Francisco.  A previous order from the judge presiding over Ohio cases, requires plaintiffs’ lawyers to submit Plaintiff Fact Sheets.  The sheets contain basic information on the plaintiffs, their surgeries, and their injuries and help organize cases involving several plaintiffs.
